Message from the Section Chair

Dear Revenue Management & Pricing Section,

The Spring and Summer seasons are upon us, with exciting conferences. Watch out for the upcoming submission deadlines. The Revenue Management Conference will take place in July (see below). The conference will be in person for the first time since 2019! Our colleagues at Imperial College are busy preparing an exciting program, and I want to take this opportunity to thank them for all their efforts.

The Marketplace Innovation Workshop will continue to take advantage of the virtual format, and will take place in late May (see below).

The RMP section also has an important DEI initiative led by DEI committee chair Dorothee Honhon along with nine committee members. They will send out a DEI survey to the members shortly and share with the community the results at the RMP conference in July. I want to take this opportunity to thank the DEI committee for their effort in this initiative.

Best wishes,

Omar Besbes

Diversity, Inclusion and Equity Committee

An inaugural committee on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) was set up at the 2022 INFORMS conference, with the dual objective of: (1) forming general principles and guidelines on how to approach DEI issues and (2) advising the board on initiatives to promote diversity, equitable access to opportunities and a sense of belonging in our section.

Dorothee Honhon (UT Dallas), along with nine committee members, are meeting monthly and preparing a DEI survey to be sent out to the members shortly, in order to collect information regarding DEI-related issues and opportunities, specifically at the level of the RMP section.  Results will be presented at the July conference. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please reach out to Dorothee at dorothee.honhon@utdallas.edu.
