The Forum for Women in Operations Research and Management Science (WORMS) is a community within INFORMS that aims to support and promote the participation and advancement of women in the fields of operations research (O.R.) and management science (MS).
Established in 1995, WORMS aims to:
- Foster interest and engagement in the fields of OR/MS.
- Facilitate discussions and collaboration among individuals interested in issues affecting women in OR/MS and enhancing their professional presence in the field.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to the INFORMS Board on challenges faced by women in OR/MS and keep them informed about key developments in this area.
