INFORMS NY serves operations research, management science & analytics professionals in the New York Metropolitan region with a program of events including monthly meetings, conferences and outreach programs to local universities.
The New York Metro Chapter was established in 1955 as a chapter of The Institute of Management Sciences (TIMS). In 1995 through the merger of TIMS and the Operations Research Society of America (ORSA), the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) was formed.
