Dear INFORMS Members,
Congress is working on a national data privacy and security framework, and they're looking for input from subject-matter experts. The House Energy and Commerce Committee's Privacy Working Group has opened a public comment period to gather perspectives on data protection, consumer rights, AI and privacy, and regulatory consistency.
This is a great opportunity for INFORMS members to contribute insights that could help shape future policy. If you're interested, we encourage you to submit a response. Written comments are due by April 7, 2025, and should be sent to PrivacyWorkingGroup@mail.house.gov. Submissions should be no longer than 3,500 words, provided in both Word and PDF format. Supporting materials such as reports and case studies are also welcome.
You can find the full request for information here or in the attached file:
Privacy Working Group Request for Information.
If you plan to submit a response, please let us know. We'd love to hear from you and track how INFORMS members are engaging in this discussion.
