My personal favorites for staying up to date on operations research are:
- OR/MS Today - best source of providing an overview of important new information
- INFORMS Journal on Applied Analytics - more detail than OR/MS today. It contains most of the best published applied work in OR
- Webinars (including those sponsored by the INFORMS Practice Section, Gurobi, and others I find through youtube)
My bias is toward practical and applied work. For my academic work, I leverage scholar.google.com to find the relevant academic literature, whether it is up-to-date or not.
Finally, I read through the INFORMS connect news on Saturdays, which is how I found your question. :-)
