Dr. Sridhar Tayur, Ford Distinguished Chair at Tepper School and University Professor at CMU, gave a keynote at INFORMS 2025, entitled "How can INFORMS contribute to The Second Quantum Revolution?" I invited Sridhar to write a perspective paper for INFORMS Journal on Data Science (IJDS) based on his speech. Sridhar graciously agreed. Sridhar's paper is now (online) published in IJDS. In the paper, Sridhar highlighted the relevance of, and opportunity for, operations research and data science in the exciting Second Quantum Revolution. Sridhar's paper is Open Access and I hope you enjoy reading the paper.
