INFORMS Open Forum

I have to present my work at the INFORMS Annual Meeting, and I am from India. As a student, I find it very difficult to find a cheap and safe place to stay near the convention center. Can I request anyone to host my stay for 5 nights (12th night to 16th night)..just stay arrangements are required. Otherwise, if someone can refer me to good and cheap places near to the venue, that would be very helpful.

You may want to check Vrbo or Airbnb for rentals close to the Phoenix Convention Center – although I have no idea whether the options are any good.

One more thing:  I would encourage you to reach out to the communities you belong to and see if maybe someone who already has a hotel room at one of the conference venues is willing to room together and split the cost. You may have better luck in a smaller group than the Open Forum.

Look at hotels near the light rail line.  I'm staying at a hotel near the airport, with a free airport shuttle. From the airport light rail to the convention center is $2 each way and around 15/20 minutes IIRC.  MUCH cheaper hotel than the convention center area.
