INFORMS Open Forum

The INFORMS Prize is awarded for effective integration of advanced analytics and operations research/management sciences (OR/MS) in an organization. The award is given to an organization that has repeatedly applied the principles of advanced analytics and OR/MS in pioneering, varied, novel, and lasting ways.

Evaluation of the submission is measured in the following categories

1. Integration and Strategic Importance: O.R. is embedded within the parent organization's operations and is regarded as an integral component that provides strategic competitive advantage.
2. Breadth of Application: O.R. is utilized across a wide range of areas within the organization, demonstrating its extensive application.
3. Scope of Issues Addressed: O.R. applications address tactical, operational, and strategic issues, showcasing the versatility and depth of its use.
4. Sustainability and Systemic Use: O.R. is applied in a sustained, systemic manner within the organization, indicating its long-term commitment and consistency.
5. Quantification of Value: The value derived from O.R. projects is consistently quantified, ensuring measurable impact and benefits to the organization.

Interested applicants must submit a letter of intention/interest by December 15, 2024 (11:59pm).  Full submission materials must be submitted by January 24^th.
