    Dear Colleagues,

Please see the following opportunity for URM undergraduates to attend the INFORMS Annual Meeting: We encourage you to nominate underrepresented minority students in your institution that can take advantage of it.

The INFORMS Minority Issues Forum organizes a workshop to expose underrepresented undergraduate minority students to Operations Research and Management Sciences (OR/MS). This workshop is sponsored by the National Science Foundation Broadening Participation in Engineering Program. The first two editions were supported by the INFORMS DEI Initiative.

We accept nominations and applications from undergraduate minority students pursuing degrees in mathematics, computer science, and engineering who are interested in attending the INFORMS Annual Meeting.

    About the Workshop:

The workshop will introduce students to OR/MS. They will be offered the opportunity to be paired with mentors to discuss academic and industrial career opportunities in OR/MS and how best to take advantage of their participation in the annual meeting. This in-person workshop will occur on October 14th, 2023, the day before the INFORMS Annual Meeting Starts. Students selected to participate will receive complimentary registration and travel support.
