I heard this on the radio the other day - they did a survey asking people for the song that makes them happy. And the winner was "Good Vibrations" by the Beach Boys! So I'm wondering, what's your happy song? This may be too old for a lot of you, but mine is Chubby Checker's "The Twist".  My family used to dance around the house to this song , so it brings back many happy memories.

My "happy song" is more of a romantic one. It makes me think of my wife Pam, my rock. It is Linda Ronstadt singing the song "Someone to Watch Over Me" written by George and Ira Gershwin. Here is link to her singing it:

My happy song is Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs' "Stay". It reminds me of my girl friend at the time.  It was a happy time for me. Unfortunately we didn't 'stay' together. You can listen to "Stay" on YouTube here.

I DJed for my college radio station, so I could come up with a very long list, but I will limit it to five.

1. If I had $1000000 - Barenaked Ladies (I turned this song into the Lacke/BNL inequality for teaching the concept of multivariate utility)
2. Summer - War
3. Sing A Song - Earth, Wind, and Fire
4. Waterloo - ABBA
5. Twist And Shout - The Beatles (especially when accompanied by Ferris Bueller and many Chicagoans)

I'm guessing that some people will suggest certain additional songs by artists 3 and 4. :-)

"Waterloo" is an excellent choice. As for "Twist and Shout", I would lean toward the Isley Brothers' version (the first to chart).
