Fellowships in Operations & Supply Chain Management

The Poole College of Management at North Carolina State (NC State) University invites students with outstanding academic records to apply to the NC State Operations Research (OR) Program. Poole College offers financial support for select doctoral students in the NC State University OR Program who have an interest in pursuing an academic career in Operations & Supply Chain Management (O&SCM). Current research topics the O&SCM Poole faculty are working on include (but are not limited to): Supply Chain Management, Production and Inventory Management, Sustainability, Closed-loop supply chains, Healthcare Operations Management, and Supply Chain Analytics.

Prospective OR doctoral students should clearly indicate their interest in the Poole College of Management Fellowships in O&SCM when completing their application to the OR program. For details on the application process and requirements, please visit https://www.or.ncsu.edu/future-students/admissions-2/.

The recipient(s) receiving support will be selected by the faculty in the O&SCM area of the Poole College of Management (https://poole.ncsu.edu/group/business-management/supply-chain-operations/), based on the applicant’s perceived potential to conduct successful research. Fellowships are competitive and sufficient to allow students to exclusively focus on their academic development and dissertation research. Funding is available for the entire duration of the program (typically 4-5 years), subject to satisfactory student performance.

For information on the O&SCM track in the OR program and the Poole College of Management Fellowships, please contact Professor Seb Heese (hsheese@ncsu.edu).
