    Dear Colleagues,

    The INFORMS Data Mining Society (DMS) is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the 21st INFORMS Workshop on Data Mining and Decision Analytics (DMDA), which will be held on October 31, 2026, in San Francisco, CA, the day before the 2026 INFORMS Annual Meeting.

    We cordially invite submissions of recent research on data mining, decision analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, optimization, and related methodological and applied areas.

    To participate in the workshop, authors should submit a full paper by August 1, 2026, 11:59 PM Eastern Time. All accepted papers will be automatically considered for the DMDA Workshop Best Paper Competition, either in the Theoretical Track or the Applied Research Track, according to the presenters' specifications. Winners and runners-up will be announced at the DMS business meeting and recommended for fast-track submission to the INFORMS Journal on Data Science (IJDS).

    Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

    • Optimization and Decision Analytics

    • Bayesian Data Analysis

    • Longitudinal Data Analysis

    • Text Mining and Natural Language Processing
    • Generative AI and Large Language Models
    • Federated and Distributed Learning

    Important Dates

    • Paper submission deadline: August 1, 2026
    • Announcement of competition finalists: September 7, 2026
    • Workshop registration deadline: October 17, 2026
    • Workshop date: October 31, 2026
