Undergraduate Research Poster Presentation @ The 20th INFORMS Workshop on Data Mining and Decision Analytics (DMDA Workshop)
The Data Mining Society (DMS) of INFORMS invites undergraduate students who are engaged in data mining and decision analytics research to showcase their work at the The 20th INFORMS Workshop on Data Mining and Decision Analytics (DMDA Workshop) (2025 DMDA Workshop) to be held on October 25, 2025 in Atlanta, GA. This event aims to provide a forum for the exchange of high-quality research relevant to DMS, promote the participation of excellent undergraduate researchers and recognize their achievements, and provide an opportunity for networking with other outstanding researchers, academics, and professionals in the area.
Complimentary registration to the DMDA Workshop will be provided to the primary presenter of an accepted poster. In addition, two outstanding applicants will be selected to receive a $500 travel grant from the Data Mining Society. The travel grant awardees will be recognized at the Data Mining Society Business Meeting held on Sunday, October 26 from 6:30 - 7:30 PM at the 2025 INFORMS Annual Meeting.
Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be undergraduate students at the time of submission.

Applicants are required to submit a research poster to the workshop committee by October 3, 2025, 11:59 PM, (Eastern time). The selection of the participants will be based on the evaluation of the poster. The poster must contain original work conducted primarily by the undergraduate student.

Registration for the 2025 INFORMS Annual Meeting and the DMDA Workshop are required upon acceptance. The registration fee for the DMDA Workshop will be waived for the primary (undergraduate) presenter of an accepted poster. Please note that acceptance is not required to attend either the 2025 INFORMS Annual Meeting or the DMDA Workshop.

To be eligible for complimentary registration and the travel award, selected applicants must confirm that they will be presenting their poster in-person at the DMDA Workshop.

The student submitting their work must confirm that approval has been gained from all collaborators/mentors involved in the research work.
Submission Guidelines
Prospective participants should submit an interest & submission form: Interest & Submission Form. A PDF of the poster will be needed to complete the form. send an email directly to all co-chairs, including Hadis Anahideh (hadis@uic.edu), Adam Meyers (axm8336@miami.edu), Hairong Wang (hairong.wang@austin.utexas.edu), and Jiachang Liu (jiachang.liu@cornell.edu).
