    Call for nominations: INFORMS Public Sector Operations Research Board | Submissions by Monday, Sep 7th 2026 

    Dear colleagues, 

    It is time to hold annual elections for board members for the INFORMS Section on Public Sector Operations Research (PSOR). The PSOR Section is a growing and vibrant community and a great forum to disseminate research and network with other colleagues. Per PSOR by-laws, nominations for any office can be made by (i) petition signed by at least three Section members or (ii) by the Nominating Committee. The latter involves review of self-nominations by the nominating committee. We request your nominations or self-nominations for review by the nominating committee for the following officer positions by Monday, September 7th 2026.    

    • PRESIDENT-ELECT. It is a three-year commitment. The President-Elect shall assist the President and substitute for the President as needed, including presiding at meetings. The President-Elect shall succeed to the office of President upon completion of the latter's term of office. The President shall succeed to Past President in the last year of tenure. 

    • VICE PRESIDENT OF COMMUNICATIONS. It is a two-year commitment. The Vice President of Communications shall be responsible for maintaining the web site, the newsletter, and any other external or internal communications outlets. The Vice President of Communications shall succeed to the office of Secretary-Treasurer upon completion of the latter's term of office. 

    • JUNIOR VICE-PRESIDENT OF PROGRAMS. It is a two-year commitment. The Junior Vice President of Programs shall assist the Senior Vice President of Programs. The Junior Vice President of Programs shall succeed to the office of Senior Vice President of Programs upon completion of the latter's term of office. 

     

    Please include a short bio and photo of the candidate for use in the election poll when sending your application to gdimas@bryant.edu. Note that anyone nominated should have an active PSOR membership.
