  • 1.  DEI Ambassadors Program - call for proposals (deadline extended)

    Help INFORMS spread the message of diversity, equity, and inclusion
    The INFORMS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Ambassadors Program provides a platform to unite groups of academic and practitioner members, graduate and undergraduate students, postdocs, and staff to work individually or collaborate on initiatives to foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive INFORMS community. In support of this effort, the DEI committee is currently awarding small grants (up to $2,500) for work that helps support this effort. Guidelines to apply for a grant are as follows:

    • Any INFORMS member or staff can apply
    • Interested participants should submit an application by November 15, 2021 
    • Projects will run during 2022
    • Up to 15 projects will be funded
    • More details provided on the application site

    I had a great meeting with graduate students from U of Michigan today. I encouraged them to consider submitting a project.

    I encourage everyone who is reading this post to consider a project that they could work on in 2022 to advance DEI within our community. INFORMS will need lots of different initiatives for us to reach our goals.
