INFORMS is building an ongoing volunteer pool of Resume Reviewers to help students, early career members, and job seekers put their best foot forward before applying for jobs, meeting employers, or attending INFORMS career events — including the Annual Meeting Career Fair.
What Resume Review looks like: You'll offer feedback on clarity, structure, and impact — helping participants sharpen their headline or summary statements, showcase their skills, and align their experience with the roles they're targeting. Participants choose either an Academic or Industry track, so let us know which track(s) you're comfortable supporting.
What it takes: Sessions typically run for 30 minutes and are usually covered in a single conversation; feedback can also be completed asynchronously ahead of a scheduled discussion. Sign up for a single session, a recurring monthly slot, or extra availability during "peak prep" ahead of the Career Fair.
Is this you? Reviewing tends to be the best fit for members who bring:
- Experience reviewing resumes, hiring, or managing candidates
- Familiarity with industry or academic resume expectations in analytics/O.R.
- Strong attention to detail and a knack for giving concise, constructive feedback
