Solving Better Problems with Analytics

In this talk Zohar Strinka, will share her framework for solving better problems which she calls the Meta-Problem. Zohar will introduce key concepts from Prescriptive Analytics which will demonstrate how the problem you set out to solve will ultimately determine your results. She shows how you can avoid project failures by truly understanding the business goals and how your analytics models can achieve them. Best of all, these methods apply not only to building better analytics solutions, but they can also help you be a better problem solver in your daily life

Zohar Strinka, PhD, Certified Analytics Professional - Expert, and upcoming Chair of the 2026 INFORMS Analytics+ Conference, is an analytics and lean processes consultant. She guides organizations in leveraging data to improve operations and outcomes. Zohar has worked in analytics since she graduated with her PhD from the University of Michigan.
