INFORMS Fellows are examples of outstanding lifetime achievement in operations research and the management sciences. They have demonstrated exceptional accomplishments and made significant contributions to the advancement of OR/MS over a period of time. Their service to the profession and to INFORMS has culminated in election to the INFORMS Fellow Award.
A nominee for the Fellow Award must be a current full member or retired member of INFORMS, must have been a full or retired member for at least 5 of the previous 10 years and must have been a member for at least 10 years in total.
Officers and members of the INFORMS Board of Directors, and INFORMS staff members, may not nominate, serve as references, or be nominees while holding such positions, unless the individual has been ineligible to nominate, serve as a reference, or be a nominee for five or more consecutive years as a result of this restriction. Members of the Fellows Selection Committee may not nominate or serve as references.
