Whether you are stepping into your very first faculty role or facing the daunting task of designing a brand-new course from scratch, the "blank page" of a syllabus is a significant challenge. The INFORMS Committee on Teaching and Learning (CTL) designed INSTRUCT to help you navigate these transitions with confidence. We’ve designed this symposium to support both early-career faculty and those looking to refresh their teaching toolkit for a new curriculum.
Join us virtually June 8 - June 18 for the first INFORMS Symposium on Teaching Resources and Classroom Theory (INSTRUCT). Schedule Overview
To help you beat Zoom fatigue and apply what you learn, we’ve structured this bootcamp with an "alternating day" rhythm. We’ll meet every other day, leaving the gaps for you to build your materials and reclaim your headspace. During week 2, we will offer option drop in times for small group support where you can meet with experienced faculty from the INFORMS Committee on Teaching and Learning to ask questions and receive feedback about course planning and any materials you have prepared.
