    NEW THIS YEAR: Limited funding is available to support student participation in the competition. At a minimum, we will be able to cover registration costs. Additional support may be available based on demonstrated need and available funds.

    CALL FOR POSTERS DETAILS: The INFORMS Minority Issues Forum (MIF) is pleased to announce the call for posters for the 2025 MIF Student Poster Competition. Judging will occur before the INFORMS Annual Meeting in Atlanta, GA, and students will present their posters during a poster session at the conference and briefly during the 25th Annual MIF Gala. Winners will be announced during the MIF Business Meeting and MIF Reception. The competition is open to students who are MIF members. The first-place winner will receive a monetary award of $500.

    Important Dates:

    1. June 6, 2025: Abstract submission deadline
    2. June 13, 2025: Abstract acceptance notification and additional instructions
    3. July 15, 2025: Final poster PDF submission deadline
      • Submissions received by June 24 may request preliminary feedback
    4. October 26–29, 2025: Poster session and winner announcement at the INFORMS Annual Meeting

    Submission Guidelines:

    • Abstract Requirements:
      • Abstract: Maximum 500 characters (approx. 50 words)
      • Title: Maximum 100 characters
      • May be an original abstract or one submitted for an INFORMS General session
    • Eligibility:
      • Must be a student member of INFORMS and MIF
      • Student must be the lead author
      • Poster must not have won an award in any previous INFORMS competition

    1. Names, affiliations, email addresses, and phone numbers of all authors
    2. Poster title and abstract
    3. Statement confirming eligibility
