Title: Real-world challenges with data and analytics at Ontario Health

Abstract: In this 45-minute talk (followed by a 15-minute Q&A) Jonathan Wang, Director, Health System Analytics & Business Intelligence at Ontario Health, will discuss the current key challenges facing Ontario Health from a data and analytics (D&A) perspective. The talk will focus on three key D&A challenges and some of the work underway to tackle these challenges. These challenges can be articulated by the following three questions:

    1. Can I trust my data? (Data/information governance)
    2. What's happening now and where are we going? (Trajectory monitoring and prediction)
    3. What are the impacts of policy decisions on up/downstream resource requirements? (Patient flow modelling)
