Dear Colleagues,
I am happy to share some news regarding the INFORMS journal Service Science. The mission of the journal remains in line with the mission outlined by the former EICs; in fact, the editorial statement is identical and we remain interested in a broad range of topics, such as customer experience, revenue management, healthcare, and service analytics.
However, to encourage multidisciplinary research, we have moved away from a formal departmental structure. Accordingly, we no longer have Department Editors, but "Deputy Editors".
For this board of editors, we have also assembled a diverse and international team of prolific scholars, cutting across functions (OM, IS, Marketing), disciplines (analytical modeling, empirical research, grounded theory, etc.), and schools (business, engineering). Please check out the new board on the journal's webpage.
To improve the quality of the matching process between papers and DEs and AEs, all members of the editorial board have listed their research interests and methodologies of expertise. Authors are requested to identify 2 preferred DEs and 3 preferred AEs when they submit a paper to Service Science.
We envision Service Science to become the premier scholarly outlet on the science of services, cutting across disciplines and functions.
Best wishes,
Guillaume
