    Dear colleagues,

We would like to share a gentle reminder about the MSOM Special Issue on Operations Management for Developing Economies (Deadline is June 1, 2026 but we are reviewing submissions on a rolling basis). The aim of this special issue is to advance research in Development Operations Management (DOM), broadly defined as work that designs and studies operational solutions to improve economic, social, and institutional outcomes in developing-country contexts. We are particularly interested in studies that engage with features commonly encountered in these settings, such as weak or informal institutions, infrastructure constraints, market frictions, cultural and social norms, and resource limitations. We welcome a wide range of methodological approaches, provided the work is well grounded in local context and speaks directly to core SC/OM questions. We warmly encourage you to consider submitting. Please feel free to share this call with colleagues and students who may be interested. Authors who wishing to have a check on scope fit are welcome to submit a confidential extended abstract (no more than one page) to the special issue editors.

The full call for papers is available here: https://pubsonline.informs.org/page/msom/calls-for-papers

Thank you for helping us spread the word, and we very much look forward to your submissions.

    Best,

Mahyar Eftekhar, Serguei Netessine, Karen Zheng, Co-Editors
