    Registration is now open for the IRAC 2022: Delivering Excellence: How O.R. and Analytics Help the Midwest Run

    December 1–2, 2022

    Hybrid Conference (Day 1 in-person at DePaul University's downtown campus, Day 2 Virtual)

    We are back in person! But you can just as easily join the fun remotely :) 

    The Chicago (Midwest) Chapter of INFORMS is holding a hybrid Regional Analytics Conference (in person with livestreaming on Day 1, Thursday, December 1, and fully virtual Day 2 on, Friday, December 2). We've spent the past two years delivering virtual conferences, so we are especially grateful to be able to put on a conference where we can say "hello" to one another in person. Thanks to our sponsors: DePaul University (Department of Management and Entrepreneurship), Enova, and the INFORMS Analytics Society for helping to make this conference a reality.

    It is great to know that IRAC will offer both in-person and online options. For people in the Midwest and who can travel to Chicago, this will be an amazing experience. Could you share more details about Day 1? I look forward to attending this conference!

    Hi Ziteng - 
    We have a great lineup for Day 1,     being both live-streamed and hosted in downtown Chicago at Depaul's campus. 

    The Day 1 keynote speaker is John K. Thompson, an international technology executive with more than 35 years of experience in the fields of data, advanced analytics and AI. He has authored several best-selling books in analytics and is currently responsible for the global advanced analytics and AI function at a leading biopharmaceutical company. We also have Rhiannon Clifton and Len Musielak, Senior Directors with SHIELD Illinois leading a presentation on     Best Practices When There are No Practices: What to Do When the Data Doesn't Exist. In addition to those wonderful speakers, we have an award ceremony (our IMPACTFUL Analytics Award, handed out annually to those students, academia, and practitioners that are using analytics to better our world).

    In addition to our speakers, we also have a long-lost live networking event at the end of the day! We're very much looking forward to connecting with Chapter members and finding great local minds to collaborate with.

    Hi, I'm looking forward to this conference, which has been a long-standing effort of the Chicago chapter and now returns in a hybrid format. I'm polishing up my slides for my own talk on the agenda and am proud to share a slot with so many great speakers! Attending this event, either live or virtually, is a great way to connect with other INFORMS members. Spoiler alert - one of the things I'll be talking about to improve forecasts has a tie to the Certified Analytics Professional program of INFORMS. Hope to 'see' you there!
