Hey everyone!
I just wanted to share about the webinar I attended last week with Dr. Kendra C. Taylor. It was really interesting!
Dr. Taylor started by saying that analytics isn't just for businesses; it can also help solve everyday problems. I loved when she said, "Analytics makes you a problem solver, no matter where you work!"
One of the best parts was her talk about INFORMS Pro Bono Analytics. This program connects analytics experts with nonprofits that need help. She shared amazing stories of companies making a real difference, and it made me excited about using my skills to volunteer.
Dr. Taylor also mentioned the INFORMS Editor's Cut, a great resource to stay updated on the latest trends in analytics, and TechSoup, which helps nonprofits get discounted tech tools. That's so helpful!
She shared tips for improving sales skills, mentioning people like Jim Rohn and Brian Tracy. She also suggested book, Jeffrey Gitomer's "Little Red Book of Selling."
By the end, I felt grateful to learn from someone so passionate about using analytics for good. I learned that our skills can make a real difference in the world, not just in business.
