INFORMS is pleased to announce that the nomination period is now open for the George E. Kimball Medal, one of the Institute's most distinguished honors.
The George E. Kimball Medal recognizes an individual who has demonstrated distinguished and sustained service to INFORMS and to the profession of operations research and the management sciences. The medal honors individuals whose long‑standing contributions have strengthened the Institute, advanced the profession, and supported the INFORMS community through leadership, service, and dedication.
Named in honor of George E. Kimball, a pioneer of operations research and one of the founders of the field, this medal celebrates service that reflects the highest ideals of INFORMS - commitment, integrity, and impact across many years of professional engagement.
