Call for Panelists – AI and Optimization for Smarter Healthcare Systems
Event: INFORMS Annual Meeting Octo 26- 29,2025
Format: 60-75 minute panel discussion
Submission Deadline: August 5th 2025

Overview:
We are seeking dynamic experts to join a forward-looking panel on how AI and optimization are transforming healthcare delivery. This session will explore both the promise and practical tensions of applying analytical techniques in real-world clinical and operational settings. We aim to surface lessons, challenge assumptions, and identify what must evolve for AI and OR to deliver smarter, scalable, and equitable care.

Themes we will explore include:

• Operational optimization under constrained resources
• AI for diagnosis, triage, and treatment personalization
• Interoperability and the value of integrated health data
• Resource allocation in crisis (e.g., pandemic surge response)
• Trust, ethics, and governance of clinical AI
• Burnout reduction and intelligent workforce scheduling

Ideal Panelists:

• Healthcare leaders or clinicians applying AI/optimization in practice
• OR/AI researchers advancing clinical or operational models
• Data scientists working on predictive or prescriptive healthcare solutions
• Policy experts or ethicists focused on responsible innovation in healthcare

What You'll Contribute:

• A 3-minute opening perspective based on your expertise
• Engaged participation in a moderated discussion
• Real-world use cases, failures, or tensions you've encountered
• Optional participation in post-panel insights summary for publication
