    The Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a non-tenure-track Teaching Assistant or Teaching Associate Professor of Engineering Management position with an anticipated start date of January 2023. The position will teach online courses and is not required to live in Northwest Arkansas. We seek individuals whose teaching interests are in the areas of engineering management that align with the department's emphasis on quantitative analysis. Examples include, but are not limited to, project management, systems engineering, engineering decision-making, quality, and operations management topics.  Applicants must be able to contribute to modernizing graduate curricula, growing graduate programs, and supporting the university's interdisciplinary focus.

    Applicants should have a Ph.D. in engineering management, industrial engineering, operations management, operations research, statistics, data science, computer science, or another closely related field and have excellent communication skills. Applicants should demonstrate potential for teaching high-quality online courses, teaching a variety of graduate courses, and providing appropriate service to the department, university, and profession. Applicants must be able to qualify for a faculty appointment to teach both Engineering Management and Operations Management courses. Additionally, applicants should possess at least 5 years of industry, consulting, military, or government experience in a related field. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
