    Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the search committee, we are writing to invite nominations (including self-nominations) for the position of Editor-in-Chief (EiC) of Naval Research Logistics (NRL).

Since 2018, NRL's publication volume doubled from 2020 to 2024, and citations per article nearly tripled from 2019 to 2024. As the journal continues to evolve, we are seeking a dynamic and forward-looking leader who can build on this momentum. The next EiC will play a key role in shaping the journal's intellectual direction, strengthening its position as a premier outlet for high-quality research in operations research, logistics, and related areas, and expanding its reach to emerging topics and communities.

The EiC will be responsible for setting the editorial vision of the journal, overseeing the review process, and working closely with the publisher to enhance the journal's impact and visibility.

    Basic qualifications include:

An established record of high-quality research and strong scholarly impact in operations research, logistics, or closely related fields

Prior editorial experience (e.g., Department Editor, Associate Editor, or equivalent roles in leading journals)

Demonstrated leadership and service to the academic community

Broad knowledge of the field and the ability to engage diverse research areas and methodologies

Commitment to maintaining high standards of rigor, fairness, and timeliness in the review process

We particularly welcome candidates with a forward-looking vision for the journal, including the ability to identify emerging research directions and to strengthen the journal's global reach and relevance.

    Nominations should include:

A nomination letter (or statement of interest for self-nominations)

                    Curriculum vitae of the nominee

Please submit nominations to Ms Charlene Teo chartjq@nus.edu.sg by 1st May 2026.

The search committee will review all nominations. Interview selected candidates, and make a recommendation in due course. The appointment is expected to take effect either at the end of July 2026 or later in the year, depending on the transition timeline.

We encourage you to share this call with colleagues who may be interested.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

    Best regards,

    Chung Piaw Teo (Chair)
