The ACM Computer Data Sciences Task Force, which includes representatives from Academic Data Science Alliance (ADSA), American Statistical Association (ASA), Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), Mathematical Association of American (MAA), and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), is engaged in a multidisciplinary effort to create comprehensive guidelines for data science curricula. In these special sessions (i.e., sessions not on the conference program), members of this task force (Paul Leiding and Jim Cochran) will provide an update on the task force's progress and solicit input and suggestions from INFORMS members. We will discuss the current work and the status on the task force's efforts to create recommended curriculum competencies for undergraduate data science programs, present a draft of knowledge areas and subtopics to be included as core/required and elective coverage to provide context for the discussion, and open the session for questions, discussion, and feedback. Your input is a critical component of this project, and our intent is for this to be an exchange of ideas that will inform subsequent updates and the final report. If you cannot attend these sessions but would like to learn more/provide input, please contact me at jjcochran@ua.edu.

We hope to see many of you at these special sessions.
