    ๐Ÿšจ 2026 MIF Student Poster Competition โ€“ Call for Posters ๐Ÿšจ

    The INFORMS Minority Issues Forum (MIF) is now inviting submissions for the 2026 Student Poster Competition.
    This is a great opportunity for students to showcase their research and present at the 2026 INFORMS Annual Meeting 2026 in San Francisco, CA, with winners recognized at the MIF Business Meeting and Reception.

    ๐Ÿ“ฉ How to Submit:
    Email your submission to jessye.bemleytalley@morgan.edu

    (Subject line: 2026 MIF Poster Competition)
    Include the following:
    โ€ข Names, affiliations, and emails of all authors
    โ€ข Poster title and abstract
    โ€ข A statement confirming eligibility requirements

    ๐Ÿ“Œ Abstract Requirements:
    โ€ข Max 500 characters (~50 words)
    โ€ข Title max 100 characters

    ๐Ÿ“Œ Eligibility Requirements:
    โ€ข Must be a student and INFORMS member
    โ€ข Must be a MIF member and lead author
    โ€ข Poster must not have won a prior INFORMS competition

    ๐Ÿ“… Key Dates:
    โ€ข May 29, 2026 โ€“ Abstract submission deadline
    โ€ข June 5, 2026 โ€“ Acceptance notifications
    โ€ข July 15, 2026 โ€“ Final poster submission
    โ€ข Nov 1โ€“3, 2026 โ€“ Poster session & winner announcement

    ๐Ÿ† Award:
    โ€ข $500 prize for first place

    Students will present their work during a dedicated poster session at the Annual Meeting-an excellent platform to gain visibility and feedback within the research community.

    The INFORMS Minority Issues Forum (MIF) is now accepting submissions for its 11th Annual Paper Competition, and the submission deadline has been extended to May 31, 2026.
    If you have a paper in operations research, management science, or information systems that was accepted or published on or after January 1, 2024, you're eligible to apply.
    ๐Ÿ“ฉ How to Submit:
    Send your complete submission via email to mif.informs@gmail.com, including:
    โ€ข Paper PDF
    โ€ข Bibliographic reference
    โ€ข Name, affiliation, and contact details of the corresponding author
    โ€ข A cover letter outlining author contributions and the paper's impact
    ๐Ÿ“Œ Eligibility Requirements:
    โ€ข Lead author must be a current MIF member (first or corresponding author)
    โ€ข Paper must be written in English
    ๐Ÿ“… New Deadline: May 31, 2026 (extended from May 22)
