    The Smith School of Business welcomes you in College Park on April 24th for the 5th Annual Workshop on Ai and Analytics for Social Good, a one-day workshop bringing together leading researchers and practitioners using AI and analytics to tackle some of society's most pressing challenges-from public health and agriculture to policing, labor markets, and environmental sustainability. The program highlights real-world impact, AI implementation in complex and often resource-constrained settings and cutting-edge work on responsible AI.

    Hi Margret,

    Thank you so much for sharing this-this workshop sounds incredibly meaningful, and I really appreciate the focus on real-world impact and responsible AI.

    I wanted to check if there might be an option to join remotely/online? I would love to attend, but may not be able to travel to College Park on April 24th.

    A bit of context on my side-I'm a kidney transplant patient and currently working as a Senior Data Engineer in healthcare, where I've been building AI-driven solutions focused on patient support and decision-making. I've also been speaking at conferences and community events, and recently my talk, "Saving Lives with Forecasts: A Blood Donation Decision Support System (DSS) for Data-for-Good," was accepted at the INFORMS Analytics+ Conference 2026.

    This workshop aligns very closely with both my professional work and personal journey, so I would truly value the opportunity to be part of it in any capacity.
