We are inviting applications for the new Job Market Showcase track at the 2025 INFORMS Annual Meeting in Atlanta from October 26-29, 2025.  This is a new INFORMS initiative to centrally organize the scheduling of technical talks by senior PhD students, post-docs, and recent PhD graduates who anticipate searching for a job during the 2025-2026 school year.  The track will be organized with high visibility at the 2025 INFORMS Annual Meeting, with four talks per session scheduled primarily on Sunday through Tuesday morning of the conference, to make it easy for potential employers to attend talks by job candidates.

To be eligible, an applicant must:

    1. Be a current member of INFORMS,

    2. Be a current post-doc or PhD student (with anticipated completion date by summer 2026), or received PhD degree within the past 2 years (i.e., not prior to 2023),

    3. Expect to be searching for an academic or industry job during the 2025-2026 school year,

    4. Agree to adhere to the INFORMS Annual Meeting one-talk policy.  That is, per Annual Meeting rules, a speaker in the Job Market Showcase track may not be a speaker on another technical talk at the conference.  However, Job Market Showcase participants may submit their work to poster sessions at the Annual Meeting.

Applications are due by March 28, 2025, but we intend to accept participants on a rolling basis before the deadline.  We anticipate including all applicants in this track who apply by the deadline and meet eligibility requirements. Late applicants who meet eligibility requirements will be considered, space permitting.

To apply, an interested INFORMS member should fill out the form linked below.  The form asks several questions about the registrant to verify eligibility, asks for a supervisor's contact information, and asks for a brief bio and description of the proposed talk for the purpose of grouping talks into meaningful sessions.  The co-chairs of the track will contact supervisors to verify eligibility.

Questions should be directed to the track co-chairs Laura Albert, Adam Mersereau, and Ruben Proano at JobTalks@informs.org.
