    Dear INFORMS Student Members,

We look forward to receiving your submissions for the INFORMS Education Outreach Committee's 2nd STEM SPARK: K-12 Poster Competition.

This competition invites all INFORMS student members to communicate their research to high school audiences through a visually engaging poster and short video.

    Why participate?

Participating in STEM SPARK gives you the opportunity to:

    • Inspire future engineers, analysts, and scientists.
    • Strengthen your communication skills by transforming complex research into an accessible story for high school students.
    • Feature your research on the INFORMS K-12 website, reaching students, educators, and the wider public.
    • Win Prize Money!!: $600 for first place, $300 for second place, and $100 for third place.

Learn more and submit your entry HERE.

Please note that this submission does NOT count toward the "one talk per person" rule at the INFORMS Annual Meeting.

The submission deadline is August 15, 2026. Winners will be announced at the Annual Meeting in November.

By sharing your research story, you have the power to ignite curiosity and open doors for the next generation of thinkers, innovators, and analytical thinkers in the INFORMS community and beyond.

We look forward to your participation!

    Best,
