Hello colleagues,
My name is Michael C. Agarana, and I am writing to express my interest in opportunities for volunteering, peer reviewing, and research collaboration within the community
I hold dual PhDs in Operations Management and Applied Mathematics, with over two decades of academic and professional experience in operations research, optimization, and applied mathematical modeling. My research focuses on optimization, stochastic processes, supply chain systems, network and territory modeling, and data-driven decision-making. I have authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles, conference papers, and book chapters across these fields and have also supervised graduate research projects.
I have prior experience reviewing theses, dissertations, and manuscripts, and I would be pleased to contribute as a reviewer or collaborator. I am particularly interested in projects involving optimization models, supply chain analytics, metaheuristics, network and districting problems, and decision-support systems in business and engineering.
I would be happy to provide any additional information you may need and to discuss how I may be able to contribute.
Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to the possibility of working together.
Warm regards,
Michael C. Agarana

Subject: Introduction & Interest in Volunteering, Reviewing, and Collaboration
Hello colleagues,
I am a Doctoral (DBA) researcher at Florida International University with industry experience in AI enabled CRM, analytics, and enterprise digital transformation.
My doctoral research focuses on management science and business strategy questions related to AI adoption. In particular, I study how AI and generative AI enabled analytics systems create business value through organizational capabilities, rather than through technology adoption alone. Using CFA SEM, mediation, and moderation analysis on data from 300 organizations, my work contributes to theory development by drawing on resource based theory, dynamic capabilities, human capital theory, and technology organization environment perspectives to explain performance outcomes.
The findings emphasize the strategic roles of innovation capability, automation, employee expertise, and customer centric business models in translating AI investments into operational efficiency, customer outcomes, and firm performance. I have shared an open access preprint from this work and welcome constructive feedback and scholarly discussion:
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/399219024_Investigating_the_Determinants_of_Business_Performance_AI-Integrated_CRM_and_Organizational_Capabilities
Alongside this work, I am also involved in applied research on AI enabled autonomous systems, including UAV and drone based platforms, with a patent filed for an AI driven drone network referred to as Drone Tree. This research complements my primary focus by examining AI supported decision making, optimization, governance, and system architecture in complex organizational and operational settings.
I am particularly interested in co authoring scholarly work and contributing as a peer reviewer for journals, conferences, workshops, and special issues related to management science, analytics, business strategy, AI governance, and technology enabled transformation.
I am also eager to actively contribute to the INFORMS community and would be glad to participate in volunteering within sections or committees, peer reviewing, expert panels or webinars, and research or industry academia collaborations.
If there are any upcoming talks, webinars, panels, working groups, or committees seeking contributors, especially in areas related to AI, analytics, management science, strategy, operations, CRM, or digital transformation, I would greatly appreciate any pointers or introductions.
I look forward to learning from and contributing to this community.
Best regards,
Praveen Manimangalam
