    Dear Colleagues,

The OR Education stream at IFORS 2026 (12–17 July 2026, Vienna, Austria) provides a focused forum to exchange experiences, present innovative teaching practices, and critically discuss current challenges in OR/MS education.

Abstract submission deadline: 15 March 2026
Abstract length: up to 1500 characters
    Submission link: https://www.euro-online.org/conf/ifors2026/?confdb=ifors2026
    Session code: e635461d

Important: You may submit two abstracts
If you wish to submit two abstracts-one to a research-oriented stream and one to the OR Education stream-then you should proceed as follows:

    • Submit your first abstract to a research-oriented stream.

    • Submit your second abstract to the OR Education stream.

This offers a valuable opportunity to present both technical research and pedagogical work within the same conference.

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):

    • AI, computational tools, and open-source software in OR/MS teaching

    • Innovative teaching and learning formats, including gamification, case-based, and project-based learning

    • Industry-linked education and the use of real-world cases and data

    • Curriculum design, student engagement, and assessment strategies

We particularly welcome contributions that reflect on successful teaching practices as well as lessons learned from approaches that did not work as expected, with the aim of strengthening collective learning within the OR education community.

If OR/MS education is part of your academic practice or research agenda, we warmly encourage your contribution.

We look forward to your submissions and to continuing the discussion in Vienna.

    Kind regards,
    The OR Education Forum
