INFORMS Open Forum

Hello everyone,

My name is Timothy Ashun, and I am currently pursuing an MBA in Business Analytics. I was introduced to INFORMS during a course in Operations Research, which sparked my interest in the field and motivated me to explore opportunities for professional growth.

Since my institution does not currently have an INFORMS chapter, I am eager to connect with and participate in existing chapters to further develop my knowledge and skills.

I am here to learn, contribute, and grow, and I look forward to engaging with this community, building meaningful connections, and gaining guidance from experienced professionals and mentors.

Congratulations on joining INFORMS, the premier organization for analytics. INFORMS has several publications on analytics, the most important being Analytics Magazine.  I think it's free, and I'm not sure how you get on the notification list. There are also several interest groups that stage Zoom talks on the INFORMS platform; find those and there is a lot to listen to that is very well done research. It will open your eyes to some of the issues on the forefront of analytics.

If you can ever attend a meeting it's great and will give you some networking possibilities.  I think there is a chapter somewhere in NY state, perhaps Buffalo?
