    Artificial intelligence may feel like the latest innovation, but let's be honest: many OR/MS professionals have been relying on AI for centuries.

    And by AI, of course, I mean Animal Interns.

    Long before chatbots and large language models, these hardworking assistants were providing emotional support during deadlines, supervising Zoom meetings, warming keyboards, and offering unsolicited feedback on research papers.

    One of my favorite personal "AI" companions is the Luna model! She is programmed to be extremely food motivated and is training for fetch operations research and treat management!
