Dear INFORMS members -
I know we get many surveys to fill out, but this one is different -- it is intended to examine how we can shape the future of Business and Management Research.
We are inviting you to contribute valuable input that will shape the future of research in business schools worldwide! We are exploring a few questions that are important to all business scholars who conduct research as part of their professional responsibilities. What kind of research contributions do business schools value, as reflected in the criteria they use in hiring, tenure review, and promotion to full. How do they train doctoral students? How do business schools ensure that the scientific inquiries by their research faculty and doctoral students produce credible knowledge that is useful for business practices in solving society's pressing problems?
We invite you to participate in a short, 15‐minute survey exploring these questions.
This is a global survey involving all the major disciplines in the business schools, including accounting, finance, management, marketing and operations management, and information systems. We know your time is valuable. We want to make this request as easy as possible for you and with the knowledge that your input will be of great value to guide future research practices worldwide.
Your participation will
- Have Global Impact: Your insights will inform best practices and shape research priorities internationally.
- Be Confidential & Convenient: All responses are anonymous, you can select the sections you want to answer, and you can pause/resume as needed.
- Be a One-Time Request: We ask you to complete it within a week-no follow‐ups or repeated reminders.
Thank you in advance for sharing your valuable perspective. Together, we can foster research that benefits both businesses and communities worldwide!
With gratitude,
