    Hello INFORMS members - I'm super excited that this phase 1 has launched. It is in direct response to member feedback! Many of you have asked for more information about volunteer opportunities, and this is just the beginning.     Thank you for introducing this new open door and channel for participation. This is an important initiative as it is a true service to members, to INFORMS and to the entire OR-MS community world.
     
    Please let me mention another opportunity for interested friends to get involved for or on behalf of INFORMS - perhaps as a sub- or side opportunity to those already given:
     
    In the "Conferences" section of IFORS News, Prof. Jinal Parikh and I (sub-) edit and present OR-MS conferences around the world. This includes conferences in various formats, organized and conducted by INFORMS, often as "flagship reports". Here our contact person for the INFORMS events is  Dr. Ashley Kilgore. 
     
    Friends who would like to see how we work, perhaps help out and get involved, can contact dear Ashley, dear Jinal and me.
