Hello everyone, my name is Ruijie Shan, and you can call me Jerry. I am very excited to join and become a member of this vibrant INFORMS community.
First of all, I would like to introduce my academic background and internship experiences to you, so that you can better understand me.
I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Business Analytics at the University of California, Davis. I hope that through my studies at Davis, I can better engage in business and quantitative analysis in the future and realize my personal goals and values.
Regarding internship experience, I have completed three internships, at internet and securities companies. As my internship experience deepens step by step, I have also established my career goal of becoming a business analyst in the future. I aspire to utilize my professional knowledge to make the best business decisions and make significant progress in the future.
After briefly introducing my background, I would like to discuss the areas of analysis I am most interested in learning about and discussing within the INFORMS community, specifically machine learning models and data analytics. This is because during a recent internship project at Angel Flight West Company, I was responsible for cleaning and processing duplicate data. I realized that combining machine learning models with data analysis greatly improves efficiency and accuracy. This experience motivated me to further explore these areas within the INFORMS community, and I look forward to discussing them with others who share similar interests.
