Dr. Ilya Hicks, an INFORMS and MIF Fellow, has been selected by a national committee as the winner of the 2024 Blackwell-Tapia Prize. The Blackwell-Tapia Prize, which honors the legacies of Drs. David H. Blackwell and Richard A. Tapia, recognizes a mathematical scientist who has made outstanding contributions to research in their field and served as a role model for mathematical scientists or contributed in significant ways to addressing the underrepresentation of minorities in math.
