    We cordially invite you to organize a session in the Decision Analysis cluster at the 2025 Annual INFORMS Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, October 26-29, 2025.
    2025 INFORMS Annual Meeting | Atlanta

    Organizing a session is a great opportunity to strengthen our Decision Analysis community and to network around a research theme. Please let us know by Wednesday, April 16, 2025, if you are interested in organizing a session, along with the type of session, and your session's (working) title/theme.  There are five main types of sessions: Invited Session, Award Session, Panel Session, Poster Session, and Job Market Showcase Session. In the 2025 annual meeting, there will be a cap on the total number of invited sessions for each subdivision, so we need to plan the sessions on a first-come, first-served basis with complete sessions. INFORMS expects 5 speakers per
    session.
    As the session chair for an Invited Session, your responsibilities will include:

    • Organizing a research presentation session with 5 speakers. Submit the speaker information by 11:59 pm EST on May 1, 2025. Note that an attendee may only present one talk at the conference. Please make sure your speakers have not committed to another session. We will contact you about the possibility of merging sessions with similar topics if there are not enough speakers in your session.
    • Ensuring all committed speakers have entered title, abstract, and co-authors by 11:59 pm EST on May 15, 2025;
    • Encouraging all speakers to complete registration by August 1, 2025, 11:59 pm EST; and
    • Chairing the session at the conference, which includes introducing speakers and keeping track of time.

    You may also consider organizing a Panel Session with short talks or posters (about 7 speakers/session). We will propose panel sessions to the Annual Meeting Committee's Choice co-chairs, and they will coordinate across subdivisions. If you are not interested in organizing a session but interested in contributing an individual presentation in the DAS Cluster, you are also very welcome. Please submit an abstract by May 15 at https://meetings.informs.org/wordpress/annual/. You are encouraged to contact us early to see if your talk fits into an existing session.

    If you are a senior PhD student, post-doc, or a recent PhD graduate who anticipates searching for a job, consider presenting your work at the Job Market Showcase track. The track will be organized with high visibility, with four talks per session scheduled primarily on Sunday through Tuesday morning of the conference to make it easy for potential employers to attend talks by job candidates. Applications are due by March 28, 2025, but they accept participants on a rolling basis before the deadline. To apply, an interested INFORMS member should fill out the form https://forms.gle/fdnjHaS6KgNFr6WW6. The co-chairs of the track will contact supervisors to verify eligibility. Questions about the Job Market Showcase track should be directed to the track co-chairs, Laura Albert, Adam Mersereau, and Ruben Proano at JobTalks@informs.org.

    Please let us know if you have any questions. We look forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you for your contribution!
