We are pleased to invite academic scholars and researchers to submit proposals for innovative research experiment designs using Epitome-an AI-powered experimental platform advancing research in AI for Social Science.

Epitome enables researchers to design, run, and analyse experiments that explore human–AI interaction, social dynamics, and decision-making, leveraging cutting-edge large language models and experimental methodologies.

    🔬 Why Epitome?
    The platform supports:
    • Flexible integration of multiple LLMs (e.g., GPT, Llama, Qwen) with controllable parameters
    • One-to-one, one-to-many, and many-to-many human–AI interaction settings
    • Randomised controlled trials (RCTs) and intervention-based causal testing
    • End-to-end experiment management with a user-friendly, modular interface
    • Integrated data collection and analytics, including questionnaires and physiological signals (e.g., EEG)

    🎯 What selected proposals receive
    • Full coverage of computational and AI model costs on the Epitome platform
    • Invitation to present initial findings at the Human–Algorithm Interaction Workshop, held in Oxford, July 2026
    • Full travel support for selected participants

    🗓️ Key dates
    • Submission deadline: February 28, 2026
    • Winners announced: March 15, 2026

    📄 Proposal requirements include:
    • Research question
    • Experimental design and rationale
    • Expected outcomes and impact
    • Research timeline
    • Anticipated LLM usage
    • Ethical considerations

📍 This call is jointly supported by the Human–Algorithm Interaction Lab and Shanghai AI Lab.
