CRC Press: Focus Series on Analytics and Operations Research

Series Editors: Dr. Natalie M. Scala and Dr. James Howard, II

This series aims to provide concise and accessible introductions to mathematical topics in analytics and operations research. Books in the series are designed to offer a primer on a topic rooted in an illustrative case study or example and an indication of how the ideas discussed might be usefully applied by the reader. These books are intended to appeal to a mixture of professionals, practitioners, and students and will require only a relatively basic or fundamental level of mathematical background.

The series is open to proposals on a wide range of topics and applications associated with operations research and analytics, including mathematical analysis, optimization, mathematical modeling, linear and nonlinear programming, machine learning, and more.

Please note the goal of this series is to help make analytics and operations research (OR) accessible to a wide audience. For OR and analytics models to be implemented in industry and used to inform policy, decision makers and leaders need to understand how they work. There is not a necessarily a requirement for this target audience to have a full, detailed understanding of the mathematics that underpin these models, but an appreciation of the uses, goals, and benefits of such models is important. This series aims to bridge that gap by providing overviews and primers, case studies, and implementation guidance (do's and don'ts) for various operations research and analytics tools and techniques.

Interested authors may submit an initial proposal. Proposals that receive initial approval from the Series Editors are then referred to CRC Press for full review. Authors in this series earn royalties based on sales.
