Dear Colleagues,
This is a call for intent to host the MSOM Conference & SIG Day in 2028. By the MSOM society's tradition, the 2028 conference will be held outside of North America. So, schools outside of North America are encouraged to consider hosting the conference in 2028.
If you and your colleagues are interested in hosting the 2028 MSOM Conference & SIG Day, please send an email of intent to the MSOM board at hongmin.li@asu.edu by March 15, 2026. Your intent is not a commitment but rather a starting point for discussion. We will coach your team on the items that need to be addressed for a full proposal, which will be due by April 30, 2026. Please find attached the society guidelines in the form of a list of factors to consider. Sample successful proposals will be provided upon request.
For schools that are interested in hosting but concerned about space availability for hundreds of attendees, off-campus venues can be considered. Moreover, schools can consider collaborating with other schools in their vicinity to organize the conference jointly.
If you have any questions regarding the opportunity to host the conference, please do not hesitate to reach out to hongmin.li@asu.edu
We also wish to remind everyone of the next two conferences:
• 2026 MSOM Conference & SIG Day: July 12 – July 14, 2026, Harvard, MIT, and Boston University, Boston, US (https://www.hbs.edu/about/research/msom-conference-2026)
• 2027 MSOM Conference & SIG Day: June 20 – June 22, 2027, Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary, Banff, AB (Canada)
We are grateful to both teams of colleagues for their service to our community by hosting these two conferences.
Looking forward to hearing from our wonderful community regarding the intent to host the 2028 MSOM Conference & SIG Day!
Sincerely,
Dorothée, Nikolay, Priyank and Hongmin
