    We are kindly inviting you to submit an abstract to the stream Lot Sizing, Lot Scheduling and Production Planning organized by the EURO Working Group on Lot Sizing (EWG LOT) at the

    The 24th Conference of the International Federation of Operational Research Societies, 12-17 July 2026, Vienna, Austria

    If you are interested in organizing a special session (preferably consisting of 4 presentations) within this lot-sizing stream, please contact one of the stream organizers (Safia Kedad-Sidhoum, safia.kedad_sidhoum@cnam.fr; Christian Almeder Almeder@europa-uni.de; Wilco van den Heuvel, wvandenheuvel@ese.eur.nl).

    Within this stream we seek contributions to cover recent advances in lot-sizing on the following topics among others:

    • Applications of lot sizing in real world cases including implementation of case-studies discussing organizational challenges and data issues;
    • Lot sizing for smart factories;
    • Lot sizing for energy management;
    • Integration of lot-sizing with other problems, such as: scheduling, distribution and vehicle routing, procurement, and cutting and packing;
    • Extensions of lot sizing models, including (but are not limited to):  non-triangular setups, period-overlapping setups,
    • Multiple resource types, blocking, synchronization, multi-level and multi-machine systems, perishable goods, green lot sizing;
    • Solution methods for lot-sizing problems: exact methods, heuristics, metaheuristics, or hybrid approaches;
    • Replanning and rescheduling, especially in the context of stochastic production environments.
    • Stochastic lot-sizing problems
