The INFORMS Case Competition is currently accepting submissions through July 31, 2026.
This competition encourages the creation, dissemination, and classroom use of innovative teaching cases in operations research, management science, and analytics. Whether your case is based on industry experience, consulting projects, public-sector challenges, or emerging applications of OR/MS, this is an opportunity to share high-quality educational materials with the broader community.
Cases are evaluated by a panel of judges experienced in the case method, with finalists invited to present their work at the INFORMS Annual Meeting. The competition seeks cases that engage students with realistic decision-making challenges and demonstrate the practical application of OR/MS concepts.
Faculty members, instructors, and practitioners are encouraged to submit cases that help the next generation of OR/MS professionals develop their analytical and decision-making skills through engaging, real-world learning experiences.
Eligibility Elements
- At least one author must be a current INFORMS member.
- Cases must be unpublished or first published within 12 months of the submission deadline.
