I am going to speculate that many people in INFORMS are in a situation similar to my own, in that I would like to become aware of popular books that go into some quantitative or analytical details about some topic, but I also have a hard time making time to find and/or read such books. If someone would start a book club, I'm pretty sure I would at least get as far as buying the first book, and try to start reading it. Who knows? The thought that other people were reading it at the same time might be enough to push me to get it read.
It seems like it would make sense to have a threaded discussion available, and maybe a live discussion at the end? I'm not sure, but I think it's an interesting enough idea that I would like to see somebody who is not me give it a try.

Subject: Book Club?
A fellow member has suggested the idea of starting a book club among INFORMS members. In order to gauge everyone's interest, we've posted a poll on the Connect home page. Please take a minute and vote yes or no so that we know if this is something you'd like us to develop. Thank you!
