INFORMS is pleased to announce that submissions are now being accepted for the Doing Good with Good OR Student Paper Competition, a unique award that recognizes student work applying operations research and analytics to create meaningful societal impact.
This competition highlights outstanding projects in which students partner with public, private, or nonprofit organizations to address real‑world challenges and deliver tangible benefits for individuals, communities, or organizations. The focus is on using OR/MS methods and analytical thinking to "do good" while doing good OR.
The Doing Good with Good OR Competition reflects INFORMS' commitment to demonstrating how analytics and operations research can be powerful tools for social good, across a wide range of application areas including health, humanitarian logistics, sustainability, public policy, education, and beyond.
